Diet and Starvation: Thin line

When most women talk diet, their first instinct is to stop eatting...EVERYTHING. Now some see results from this eventually but the news flash is, its actually kind of bad for you and pretty counter productive.

What most people, men and women equally don't seem to know is that if you starve your body, you don't get enough carbs to function. Without those carbs to burn into engery, your body burns that hard earned muscle you just spent hours trying to work on and holds on to the fat. Think a bear hibernating. When they hibernate and don't eat, their bodies hold onto all the fat (to keep them warm and well...alive) and burns all the extra. Your body does the same thing when you starve it. It holds onto the needed fat and burns your muscle to give you the energy to keep moving. Sure eventually it will burn the fat too as a last resort but thats after your muscle is already gone and your just a withered hungry, cranky mess with no muscle tone to show for it either. If you are consuming muscle as a fuel source you are in serious need of nutrition and at risk for possible health issues.
But I'm sure some people find this healthy.....

Go for afor the weight loss over time approach, like a pound or so a week or every two weeks and be healthy the safe way. Remember, Train Harder AND Smarter

"The important thing is to be able, at any moment, to sacrifice what we are for what we can become."
